CHESS BOARD - Inspired by this website, Matt has begun work on his own unique chess board. Matt collaborated with his friend Fred Good to procure and rough cut a 13" aluminum hemisphere based on CAD drawing Matt created. This cutout will be shaped and smoothed before applying a magnetic primer that will allow for the use of standard magnetic chess pieces. After the primer is applied the checkerboard pattern will be painted on. Using his 3D printer, Matt plans to design and create his own magnetic chess pieces as well.
